Directions
Traveling FROM Lisbon
Take the A1 towards Porto. J13 Turn off onto the IP3,
Then take the IP3 towards Penacova and Tabua. Take the second turn off signed Tabua and follow signs to Midoes then turn left at Travanca de Lagos. Follow the windy road down the hill, over the bridge and back up to Lagares da Beira. When you get to the junction at the top the Bombeiros (Fire station) will be on your left and you will turn right onto Rua 21 Junho. Drive about 500m, there will be a large concrete post on your left and on the right is our entrance with two post boxes just before, this is the entrance to our drive. You will see the sign Q’ta do Cobral. The drive is quite long (about 900m) and is a partially unpaved gravel track. We are right at the bottom beside the river.
Traveling from PORTO
Take the A1 to Lisbon. The directions are exactly the same once you reach the turn off at J13 - the IP3.
traveling from spain
If you arrive from the Spanish border you will need to cross the border at Vilar Formosa and take the A25 towards Guarda then towards Viseu. When you get to Celorico da Beira take the turn off towards “Serra da Estrella”, this is a brown sign and will take you onto the N17. Travel along this road for about 50k towards Seia, then Oliveira do Hospital. Once in Oliveira follow signs to Lagares da Beira. About 3.5km out of Oliveira you will come to the bottom of a hill, cross a bridge and see the sign for Lagares da Beira, at the next right turn (at the bottom of another hill) take a left turn signed to the village. This is Rua 21 Junho. travel about 250m up this road, on your left you will see the entrance to our drive which will be signed. Follow the instructions above and come down the driveway.
